Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. The bites been on and off but we’re catching dolphin and sailfish on most of our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters.
The dolphin bites been scattered about from 100 to 200 feet of water. You can expect some quiet time but we’ve been catching 4 to 6 dolphin from 5 to 15 pounds on most days. The dolphin bite will continue to improve as the cold fronts fire up the winter migration.
The sailfish bites been hot, cold and everywhere in-between. The sailfish are coming through in waves so one day we’ll catch 3 to 5 and the next day it’s a struggle to catch one. The sailfish migration is underway so any day can be a great day. You won’t know if you don’t go so give us a call and let’s go catch’m.
There’s been a good kingfish bite on most days from the 8 mile reef to the loran tower ledges. Most of the kingfish are 5 to 15 pounds with a scattering of 30 to 40 pound kingfish.
There’s been a few big blackfin tuna scattered about from 150 to 200 feet of water. Most of the blackfins we’ll catch this time of year are passing through and weigh 15 to 25 pounds.
We haven’t been lucky enough to bag a wahoo the last couple of weeks but there’s been a few around so we’ll get our turn.
There’s a wide variety of fish off the coast of Stuart Fl. this time of year so get out there and catch a few. Sailfish, dolphin, tuna, wahoo, kingfish, bonito, barracuda and more. Call Capt. Wayne Brodeur, 772-341-6609 www.reelbusycharters.com
