Welcome aboard the Reel Busy and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. The fishing’s been hit and miss with dolphin and sailfish passing through. Some days good, some days not so much.
On most days we’ve been catching a few dolphin and a sailfish or two with kingfish and bonito in the mix. A cold front pushing through the next couple of days should get things fired back up again.
Sailfish and dolphin have been scattered about from 100 to 200 feet of water. The best action was east and northeast of the inlet along the current edges.
Sailfish and dolphin will continue to be the main attraction with kingfish and bonito in the mix. They’ll be a few blackfin tuna, wahoo and cobia showing up in January as well.
The Spanish mackerel are stacked up just south of the inlet between the reef line and the beach. Grab your tubes and spoons and enjoy some fast action light tackle fishing.
