Kingfish and Dolphin, Just a Few Sails

Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. We’ve been catching kingfish and/or dolphin on all of fishing charters but it’s been a struggle to get 1 or 2 sailfish bites. The cold fronts have finally started pushing through and there’s been acres of bait showing up the last couple of days.

The sailfish won’t be far behind the bait and were hoping for a red hot sailfish bite reel soon. There’s allot of sailfish up the coast from Sebastian to Cape Canaveral pushing south and 40 degree temperatures will get them on the move.

The dolphin bites been decent to good on most days. The best bite was 8 to 12 miles north of the inlet last week and right out front the week before. The bites been moving around a bit but edges from 80 to 120′ of water and 180 to 220 feet of water have produced the most action for us.

There’s been plenty of kingfish action around most of the reefs and wrecks from 80 to 120 feet of water if you’re looking to bend the rods.

Sailfish, dolphin and kingfish will be providing most of the action offshore this month but we’ll also be catching tuna, wahoo and cobia.  Good Luck & Good Fishin’. Capt. Wayne , Reel Busy ChartersIMGP0028 IMGP0018 IMGP0023
