The Hot Bite

dsc_0410  Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. It’s that time of year and there’s acres of bait and bonitos pushing down the coast with sailfish, dolphin, tuna and wahoo in tow.

The hot bite yesterday was sailfish. All of our action was in 80 to 150 feet of water southeast of the inlet.  The action was almost non-stop as we weaved between the packs flying fish and bonito.

We had to deal with allot of bonito bites but we had 9 sailfish bites and caught and released 6 sailfish on the troll.  Small packs of sailfish are pushing through aggressively attacking the spread and putting on a show.

We’ve been catching a few dolphin on most of our fishing charters but we never had a dolphin bite yesterday. The dolphin fishing is good to excellent in October/ November so I expect they’ll fire up soon.

Fall fishing is excellent and we’ll be catching sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, tuna and wahoo. Give us a call for a great day on the water catching fish.  Capt. Wayne , Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609image3 image1
