Welcome aboard the Reel busy and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. We’re still waiting for that red hot sailfish bite but at least we’re having a good catch of Dolphin on most days. There’s still not much bait around the usual spots and it’s long over due. When the bait shows up we’ll be catching more sailfish and cobia along with the dolphin and kingfish we’ve been catching.
Most of the dolphin we’re catching are 4 to 8 pounds with a few up to 12 pounds. We’ve had a couple of days with 9 and 10 dolphin but most days have been 4 to 6.
The kingfish bites been on and off, some days hot and some days not. Most of the kingfish have been 5 to 8 pounds with a few 15 to 25 pound kings in the mix.
