Mahi-mahi Tuna and Sailfish

Hello Fish Fans, the fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida has been good to excellent on most days . We’re catching sailfish mahi-mahi / dolphin kingfish and blackfin tuna.
The dolphin bite turned on a bit late this spring so we’re looking good for June. Most of the dolphin we’re catching right now are 7-12 pounds with a few pushing 20. Still waiting for those packs of 15-25 pounders and the 35-55 pound bull dolphin we love to catch this time of year.
The summer sailfish bite off the coast of Stuart has out performed the winter bite for the last 4-5 years. Packs of sailfish will start showing up in June and July is red hot. Take advantage of the calmer seas of summer and catch a few sailfish for the bucket list.
The blackfin tuna bites been hit and miss but the ones we’re catching are all 15-25 pounds. Smaller blackfins of 7-12 pounds will start stacking up on a ridge bout 10 off the coast this month.
Kingfish Bonita and a few cobia will be around the reefs and wrecks providing some action in-between the sailfish bites.
Now’s the time to get hooked up with Reel Busy Charters for a tuna trip you’ll never forget. Our Yellowfin Tuna trips start this month and July is the Captains favorite. We’ll be running bout 75 miles and when you see the huge packs of birds with yellowfin tuna busting up the water you’ll see why. Most of the yellowfins we catch are 40-60 pounds but you’ll probably have the opportunity to catch 75-100 pound yellowfin if you can handle it. Pound for pound the yellowfin tuna is one of the toughest fish in the ocean and will fight you til it hits the gaff.
