Welcome aboard the Reel Busy and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. The dolphin bite slowed to a crawl last week and we did allot of hunting to catch a few dolphin. Although the conditions were on the sporty side the last couple of days we had a decent dolphin bite catching 7 and 8 dolphin up to 20 pounds.
We’ve been finding our best dolphin bite out deep in 600 to 700 feet of water for a few weeks now but had a decent bite from 150 feet to 300 feet yesterday. The dolphin and the weeds are scattered about so you can expect to do a little bit of hunting but the easterly breezes should concentrate more dolphin closer to shore by the weekend.
Sailfish, dolphin, tuna, wahoo and marlin are all possibilities this time of year so get offshore and hunt’em down. Good Luck and we’ll see you on the water, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
