Sailfish, Dolphin and Mackerel

Hello Fish Fans,  The cold fronts are starting to push through and the sailfish, dolphin and kingfish will be providing most of the action offshore.  November was good to us and we caught 3 to 5 dolphin and a sailfish or two on most of our charters. KIMG0936_02

The sailfish migration is underway and packs of sailfish are heading our way. So far it’s been just a pick catching only one or two on most days but with cold fronts pushing through the next two weeks the sailfish bite should get fired up. KIMG0947_01

The dolphin bites been scattered about and inconsistent.  Six to eight one day and lucky to catch two or three the next. The good news is most of the dolphin are 7 to 12 pounds so it doesn’t take many to stack up some filets for dinner. KIMG0929_03

Kingfish of 10 to 20 pounds are hanging around the reefs and wrecks offshore if your looking to bend a rod.  The Spanish mackerel are starting to arrive on the shallow reefs just south of the inlet and down to Pecks Lake.

The conditions could be a bit sporty around the cold fronts but the sailfish, dolphin and kingfish should be eager to play the game. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609 www.reelbusycharters.com KIMG0959_01
