36 LB. Slammer Dolphin

Hello Fish Fans, Welcome to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. Sailfish and Dolphin are pushing through as they normally do this time of year but some of these dolphin are springtime slammers.

Yesterday as our first fall cold front pushed through it was a bit sporty out there and the fish didn’t want to play the game.  We pulled the hook on a sailfish, caught bonito and headed back early. The seas settled down a bit today and although it wasn’t red hot we had allot more action.KIMG0909_02

We started on the quiet side but doubled up on sailfish and caught 1 out of the pair. Kingfish, bonito and a shark finished out our morning. In hopes of catching another sailfish or some dolphin for dinner our clients decided to extend our day to a 3/4 day.

The next hour was on the quiet side till we pulled the hook on another sailfish. As we spun around to get another shot at the sailfish a slammer bull dolphin came crashing in and blasted the squid chain. It fired back in slamming the flat line and it was game on. The bull dolphin weighed in at 36 pounds and put on an awesome show.

Sailfish, dolphin, kingfish and bonito will be providing the action and we’ve got some open days the first week of November. Give us a call and let’s go catch’em. Call  Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609 or visit us at www.reelbusycharters.comKIMG0912_02
