Welcome aboard the Reel Busy and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. The weather kept us at the dock most of the week but we finally got out yesterday and the dolphin we’re eager to play the game.
We fished several weed lines in 100 to 200 feet of water yesterday and didn’t find much current so we ventured on out and ended up in 750 feet of water on a weed line full of large mattes of Sargasso weed.
We had a steady dolphin bite for most of the day catching , losing and releasing allot of dolphin. We came home with 17 dolphin from 5 to 10 pounds and lost or threw back another dozen or so.
There wasn’t as many dolphin caught closer to shore yesterday but most of the 15 to 25 pound dolphin caught yesterday were in 150 to 200 feet of water. The dolphin fishing should be this month so get out there and catch a few. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609
