The Dolphin Bite

Hello Fish Fans, It’s about a month later than normal but the Dolphin Bite is finally here. Covid-19 resulted in April cancellations and May started out hit and miss. It’s great to see an excellent dolphin bite and things slowly getting back to normal. IMG_1434

Had a great time on a 3/4 day charter Saturday with 4 dolphin of 20 to 30 pounds and a handful of 5 to 10 pound dolphin. Had a good dolphin bite again yesterday on a 1/2 day charter with 5 to 10 pound dolphin but only one 20 pounder in the box. The dolphin bite should be excellent again this week and we’ve got a couple days open so give us a call and Let’s Go Catch’m. IMG_1424

The blackfin tuna haven’t shown up in numbers yet but most of the blackfins have been 15 to 25 pounds. There’s been a few blackfins pushing well over 30 pounds and that’s a great bonus to a box of dolphin filets.

The kingfish bite has been excellent from Jensen Beach to Jupiter Inlet around all the reefs and wrecks. There’s an abundance of 20 to 30 pound kings with a few pushing into the 40’s. Kingfish isn’t one of our preferred targeted species but you gotta love it when they sky 10 to 20 feet in the air attacking the spread.IMG_1448

It’s great to be back on a CABO Fishing Machine. This 2009 40′ CABO EXPRESS is powered with a pair of Caterpillar C-12’s and the SEAKEEPER makes offshore fishing unbelievably comfortable. Not only is new REEL BUSY the fastest and best riding express charter boat in Stuart it’s a true fishing machine with all the comforts of home. Sat. TV, AC inside and out and a large cockpit with fighting chair for those who rather sit than stand up while fighting fish.

The dolphin bite is on so give us a call and get hooked up with Reel Busy Charters, you’ll be glad you did. I’ll be back in a week or so with another St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne  772-341-6609 www.reelbusycharters.comIMG_1457
