Slow but Steady

Welcome aboard the Reel Busy and to our St. Lucie Inlet fishing Report. We didn’t get out much last month so it was great to get out a few days this week. The fishing was slow but steady and we caught a dozen or more Blackfins and a few dolphin on all of our fishing charters and sailfish on 2 out of 3 trips.

Acres of flying fish have been pushing through from 40′ to 200 feet of water and more sailfish and dolphin showed up the last couple of days. We could use a good cold front to fire things up but there’s plenty of sailfish and dolphin around. Our best action yesterday was between 180 and 240 feet of water east of the inlet. Others found success in 70 to 80 feet and 130 feet of water.

The waters warmer than it usually is this time of year so there’s still some blackfin tuna hanging around the hill.  Most of them are small about 2 to 4 pounds but we did get a couple 7 to 8 pounders this week.  There’s also been allot of blackfins scattered about from Hobe Sound to Jupiter in 200 feet of water.

It’s a great time of year for Stuart Florida fishing so get out there and catch some fish. Sailfish, dolphin, tuna, wahoo, kingfish, bonito and sharks. Good Luck & Good Fishin’.  Capt. Wayne Brodeur and October Reel Busy Charters 005Reel Busy Charters
