Good Dolphin Bite

Welcome aboard the REEL BUSY and to our St. Lucie Inlet Fishing Report. We had a good dolphin bite last week with dolphin up to 24 pounds but not so hot the last couple of days before the front.

Most of the dolphin we’re catching are 7 to 10 pounds with a few 15 to 20 pound gaffers in the mix. Most of our dolphin bites have been in 150 to 200 feet of water both north and south of the inlet. The dolphin bite should be good to excellent on most days as we move into spring so get out there a  few.

The sailfish bite continues to be hit and miss, catch a couple today and never see one tomorrow. There’s always a few sailfish hanging around and hopefully there’s another flurry or two coming our way.

There’s plenty of kingfish and bonito around to bend the rods and the cobia are starting to show up around the usual spots. Spring is on the way and we’ll be catching dolphin, tuna, sailfish, wahoo, cobia, sharks and kingfish aboard the Reel Busy.

Good Luck and Good Fishing, we’ll see you out there. Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609IMGP0037
