		ALL-STAR CONCERT LINE-UP FOR UPCOMING PINEAPPLE FESTIVAL
		
		Jensen Beach, FL (September 15, 2010) – Jensen Beach will become the 
		Treasure Coast’s entertainment epicenter once again this year, November 
		5, 6,and 7, when the historic riverfront village hosts the 23rd Annual 
		Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival, the Treasure Coast’s largest and most 
		anticipated street festival.
		
		Southern rock and roll band 38 Special, break-out country music singer 
		and songwriter Justin Moore, and hip-hop, reggae band The Dirty Heads 
		will headline this year’s festival offering an unprecedented variety of 
		music and entertainment for the entire family. 
		On Friday November 5, the Pineapple Festival will open at 6:00 pm with 
		The Porchdogs, a band that specializes in Louisiana Cajun and zydeco 
		music.  Also Friday night, the Justin Moore concert will begin at 8 p.m. 
		on the TD Bank Stage. Moore’s hit songs include “Small Town USA” and 
		“Backwoods”. Opening for the Justin Moore concert will be Casey Weston, 
		a singer-songwriter from Naples, Florida.
		 38 Special has created a musical legacy that appeals to many 
		generations with hit songs “Hold On Loosely”, “Back Where You Belong”, 
		“Rockin Into The Night” and “Caught Up In You”.  The 38 Special concert 
		will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday night, November 6 on the TD Bank Stage. 
		Opening for the 38 Special concert are with Crossbone, plus, Mike Grutka 
		Project Solo Tour.
		Kattyshack, an 80’s cover band from Palm Bay, Florida, will also perform 
		on Saturday prior to the 38 Special concert on the Florida Lottery 
		Stage.
		The Dirty Heads was recently named one of the “best new bands of 2010” 
		by Rolling Stone. The bands hit songs include “Lay Me Down”, “Stand 
		Tall”, “Chelsea”, and “Neighborhood”.  The Dirty Heads concert will 
		begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 7 on the TD Bank Stage. Pacific 
		Dub, one of the youngest and newest bands to solidify themselves as 
		professionals within the California Reggae Rock scene, will perform 
		Sunday prior to The Dirty Heads concert. 
		The festival will again feature midway rides operated by locally owned 
		Doolan Amusements.  Wade Henry, the popular unicyclist and street 
		entertainer will return, and so will Maximum Velocity Pro BMX bicycle & 
		skateboard stunt team. There will be non-stop music all 3-days on the TD 
		Bank Stage, the Florida Lottery Stage, The Bahamian Market Stage, and 
		the Martin County Stage. 
		This year the Pineapple Festival will celebrate the 20th anniversary of 
		the sister city relationship between Jensen Beach and Gregory Town, 
		Eleuthera, Bahamas.  The Bahamian contingency presents the popular 
		Bahamian Straw Market attraction at the festival, live island music by 
		The Brilanders and Dr. Sea Breeze, and the heart-pounding sounds of the 
		colorful and ever-popular Junkanoo parade. 
		
		“This year’s Pineapple Festival will be one of the best ever,” said Ron 
		Rose, executive director of the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce.  Rose, 
		who founded the festival in 1988, went on to say, "This year we will be 
		highlighting our 20-year Bahamian connection with our sister city 
		Gregory Town and the concerts we’re presenting on all four stages are 
		going to be incredible.”  
		
		The downtown Jensen Beach festival will expand to include Pineapple 
		Avenue, from Church Street to Jensen Beach Boulevard, and will remain on 
		Ricou Terrace.  Jensen Beach Boulevard will be open to traffic during 
		the 3-day festival.  An admission free Arts & Crafts Show will be held 
		in downtown area parking lots adjoining Jensen Beach Boulevard on 
		Saturday and Sunday only.  Festival gate admission is $15. Children 12 
		and under are free. Discounted advance tickets go on sale Monday, 
		October 18 at all TD Bank locations throughout Martin and St. Lucie 
		Counties and also at Sonic Drive-In Restaurants located in North Palm 
		Beach, Fort Pierce, and Jensen Beach. 
		
		The Pineapple Festival is considered one of the most popular street 
		festivals on the Treasure Coast. 50,000 people are expected to converge 
		on downtown Jensen Beach during the weekend.  The festival is widely 
		acknowledged as the signature event for Jensen Beach and is responsible 
		for establishing the “pineapple” as the official community symbol.

		ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
		
		The greater Jensen Beach area is expected to experience a powerful 
		economic impact as a result of the SKA National Fishing Tournament and 
		the Pineapple Festival taking place at the same time on the Treasure 
		Coast.  The SKA event is one of the nation’s largest saltwater fishing 
		tournaments.
		    
		A pre-festival golf tournament will be held on Friday, October 29, PGA 
		Golf Club at PGA Village located in St. Lucie West. The Pineapple 
		Festival Golf Tournament will benefit the Jensen Beach Chamber’s 
		building fund. The tournament is presented by Vistana’s Beach Club and 
		the Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort.
		
		ABOUT THE JENSEN BEACH PINEAPPLE FESTIVAL
		
		The signature event of Jensen Beach, the Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival 
		is the largest regional festival on the Treasure Coast, and one of the 
		few remaining true street festivals in South Florida.
		Growing in popularity every year and celebrating twenty-three years in 
		2010, the weekend long festival salutes the community’s rich pineapple 
		heritage and celebrates the people, visitors, and friends of Jensen 
		Beach. The Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce produces the Pineapple 
		Festival, which features events for the entire family, world-class 
		concerts, arts, crafts, midway rides, local bands, student musicians, 
		stunt shows, and street performers. The inaugural Pineapple Festival was 
		held in the fall of 1988 in conjunction with the Jensen Beach Centennial

		In 1990 Jensen Beach and Gregory Town, Eleuthera, Bahamas established a 
		sister city relationship. In 2010, Jensen Beach will celebrate the 20th 
		Anniversary of the friendship. Gregory Town residents host their own 
		Pineapple Festival each June. During the Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival 
		a delegation from Eleuthera creates an authentic Bahamian Market 
		featuring island music, crafts, food, and the heart pounding rush of the 
		Junkanoo parade. During the past 22-years the Pineapple Festival has
