We cleared the inlet about 6:30 and was surprised to find only 2-3' seas. As we got out to the 60-70' depth the seas as well as the winds picked up in a hurry! They were broadcasting small craft advisory all day which had me concerned as my boat is only 20', but we kept going. The Mahi seemed to be everywhere and by 10am we had around 8 nice ones in the boat. We kept fishing from 120 to around 220' and ended up with 12 nice Mahi, a Sharpnose shark, lost a Wahoo and had a few Sailfish bites. Overall it was a great day fishing, but very choppy to rough seas. It always seams that the rougher it is the better the fishing. Oh well, we made it back through the inlet at around 3pm and headed back to the dock to start cleaning fish. A great day fishing and we made it home safe! It does not get much better. I am already looking at the weather for next weekend and it looks great! Can't wait to do it again!
Tight lines!
