Hit the Northeast spot with nothing doing except Hornbellies. Headed to the spot midway to Bullshark and loaded up on Greenies. Stopped at Bullshark and topped off with some Sardines.

Headed offshore around 7:00am in search of some weeds. In 90ft we found our first weedline but quickly got chased out of there by a large bait stealing Porpoise who hung around the boat on both drifts here.
Moved on to 260ft to find large mats of weeds. We checked about 15 mats with no baits underneath. We pull up to the next one which was loaded with tons of bait under it both large and small.
I knew this one would be holding some fins. We set-up a drift here and Lou quickly hooks up to the over grown Blue Runner.

After a quick release we go back up and deploy the chunk bait, menhaden mixes and start our next drift.
Lou hooks up to a fin and catches his first fin. Congrats Lou. The smile on Lou’s face says it all.

We worked this a couple more drifts while spotting a large fin underneath that didn’t want our baits.
With Lou’s dinner in the box we headed back in. Short trip but mission accomplished. Back in by 9:00am. Home with boat cleaned by 11:00am.
Today’s Tally
1 - Fin
1 – Large Blue Runner
