The seas remain reasonably calm and fishing should remain high on the list of “things to do”. Good sailfish and dolphin fishing is taking place from the the Loran Tower to north of Ft. Pierce. Sailfish are in more shallow water (80’ – 140’) than dolphin (100’-400’). Mixed in are bonito, shark, and kings. Spanish Mackerel are back, head south of the Inlet – you’ll find them easily on your bottom recorder in 35’ or less. For you nighttime guys and gals, the swordfish activity is ongoing in depths 900' - 1400'. Drifting from south of the Jupiter Hump to east of Push Button has been productive for those willing to make the effort. |
