Full Report: |
While expecting the best in off-shore fishing this past week, we got the opposite and this week’s reports to date have not suggested an immediate return to high expectations. Weed is scattered, bait is hard to find, and the Gulf Stream current has moved considerably to the east. The best catches were being made 20 - 25 miles off shore, where dolphin in the 15# - 25# range were being taken on trolled bait. Kings, wahoo, and sails were being caught in a scattered, random pattern. Weather conditions look favorable for the week end – let’s hope the bite improves. |
